Music, or Talent of the Millenium?
220 Group of friends from Taiwan, Korea and China gathered in a fans
club for
Best Asian Band Of the Millennium. This is so far the biggest
gathering for rival band to name
'The World's Biggest Ever Asian Band Net Poll'
With a staggering 200,000 cast survey votes it wasn't surprising that
this has been claimed to be the biggest music net poll of the last 2
years.
Friends divided time to make a survey on Mainland China and South and
North
Korea for the best asian millennium band. The groups are not THAT
well-
known in China but due to promotions and introduction and
the use of technology wide service, as such, the internet, they began
to love
appreciate them, they were
asked what they thought of the 2 most popular asian boybands.
Among them male and female fans voted for their favorites.
They also were asked to vote for the best songs for each band.
Undertaking a poll like this was certainly proven that too many boy-
band fans
would get their hands on the voting cards to make their votes count.
The group got the biggest scorecard and know the result, however,
they
also informed the voters to vote on line to make it publicly viewed.
Others also asked to include some other bands to make it more
exciting.
This was a just reward for arguably the most talented band the world
has
known, and it was just the tip of the ice-berg in what was to be a
memorable
night for 'asianband winner'.
Looking at the results overall, we would have to say that most of the
bands of the last two years gained recognition in one form or
another.
But the fact that a lot of people insisted on giving their votes to
sub-standard internet pop acts left a somewhat sour taste in our
mouths.
