Since early this last year, the taiwanese paparazzi have been suggesting that f4's vanness wu and vivian hsu are seeing each other. Only recently, there were reports of vanness driving vivian in her car in taipei.
We had to ask: Can vanness reverse -park in one go?. Vivian, who had been quite forthcoming before this question, started going around in circles.
She said: "Er... bu cou(not bad in mandarin). But the roads in taipei are very narrow and difficult to park in one go.
Then she quickly deflected the question: "it's not the most important. The others are important too".
So are they dating??? After all, vanness said he doesn't rule the possibility of a future with vivian.
Vivian replied: "Im happy to hear what he said. But at this time, we should be focusing on our careers. He's a very good guy but we dont have much time to develope anything".
So, she's not dating anyone now? She nodded: "yup, no one".

F4's shy guy, Vic Chou, tells of wearing boxers to sleep and wanting to tie the knot before he's 30
Tuesday • February 3, 2004
ANDY Chou. Andy Chou Yu-min. Like it or not, that almost was the name you'd be idolising today.
Well, it turned out that his agent did not like it … and gave him a new name, Vic.
"Before I stepped into showbiz, I already had an English name, Andy. You know, the same one as Wa Zai," the F4 member said, referring to Hong Kong actor-singer Andy Lau by his nickname. "But too many people were named Andy, so my agent picked a new one for me."
The Prince Charming from Taiwan appeared at Bishan Junction 8 on Saturday to promote his second solo album Remember … I Love You and ended the long wait of 6,000 fans, some of whom had been in the queue for a week. He spent more than two hours signing autographs for them.
Earlier, at an interview with Today, Vic proved he's more than capable of churning out goose-pimples-inducing ballads.
Once dubbed the shyest member of the F4 quartet, he — of the floppy hair, chiselled good looks and goofy smile — came out of his shell (like Jerry Yen did two weeks ago) and showed his chatty side.
"I used to be afraid of speaking my mind. I'm worried that my views will be distorted. But three years on in showbiz now, I think there's no need to hold myself back."
And let it all out he did … including why he doesn't envy international gongfu star Jackie Chan.
Vic Chou: Ah, an English newspaper. Let's do the interview in English then!
Today: Surrree … why not?
Vic (in Mandarin): I'm just joking. My English sucks, really. Schools in Taiwan have only introduced conversational English lessons these few years. Students are generally afraid of speaking English, you know.
Today: What's the most embarrassing encounter the language has brought you?
Vic: The common ones would be when foreigners ask for road directions in Taipei. But nothing beats my encounter on a working trip to Los Angeles recently.
The customs officer at the airport had asked to see my "GPR". I was simply stunned. What GPR? Only after 10 minutes of wrangling later did I realise he actually meant "ji piao" (Mandarin for air ticket). He's a foreigner trying too hard to impress with his Mandarin. What a waste of time!
Today: Did you ever ask F4's Ken Chu or Vanness Wu to teach you English?
Vic: I've only picked up a few words from them. They're not English teachers after all. They are very busy people.
Today: A Zai Zai pyjamas comes free with the purchase of your second solo album. Do you have the habit of going to bed in pyjamas?
Vic: I do, but only if the weather is cold. Most of the time, I just wear boxers. Checkered ones — not those with cutesy smiley faces, okay? (laughs) I'm not so cute, lah.
Today: Your vital statistics 37-29-36 are posted all over your fan sites. Are you embarrassed by it?
Vic: (Laughs) I'm not a girl, so I guess that's alright. So long as some things are not seen. But I'd prefer to have broader shoulders, like those of Vanness and Jerry.
Today: Tell us. Since your album's titled Remember … I Love You, when's the last time you said "I love you" to your girlfriend?
Vic: That's when I was 17 … to my fifth girlfriend. I hope my sixth one will come soon. I mean I'm a normal man. I need love's nourishment, you know! I hope to get married before I hit 30.
Today: Why?
Vic: Because I want to see my grandchildren when I'm still young, and still have the energy to play with them.
Today: Ah, the Singapore government will be pleased to make you their poster boy. People here are not too keen to have babies.
Vic: What a pity! Kids are so adorable. I hope to have at least two — a boy and a girl.
Today: By the way, have you heard of our Chingay Parade rolling out in another three hours (at time of interview)?
Vic: Yes, I've heard about it. I'll love to catch it too, but I've to go for an autograph-signing session.
Today: Jackie Chan will be taking part in it. He'd be waving from the float, you know? Given a chance, would you like to do it too?
Vic: Wow, is he? But I'd rather be at my autograph session. Not only can I wave to my fans, I can even shake their hands!

Ken Teams Up With Michelle in Tian Kong Zhi Cheng
Ken will be going to China in March to start filming a CCTV serial <> with Michelle and together be involved in a romantic love story. This is the first time filming in China for producer Angie Cai and there's lots of pressure. In regards to Michelle being labelled a "Fei Yong" during MG2, Angie says: "Taiwan audience can not accept another girl chasing after DMS, but Michell is hard working and a professional actor, we should give her another chance."
ZZ has accepted to act in MARS for NT $200 000 and yesterday, it was rumoured that Ken will film in <> and head to China. Angie revealed that the contract has been signed and Ken will play the role of a magazine reporter/photographer, who girlfriend was killed and meets Michelle in the beautiful city of Xi Shuan Ban Na.
Michelle will be playing 2 roles, Angie says: "It was originally going to be another girl but the program channel personnel though liked Michelle and since she's Indian-Chinese, she will fit the role of a Shao Shu Min Zhu girl."
Michelle played the third party, Ye Sha in MG and was bluntly abused by internet fans, saying she was detestable. This time she will team up with Ken and Angie is confident, "She's very popular in Singapore and Malaysia, her role in MG does not represent herself, Taiwan audience should not be so narrow minded."
Angie created MG and created the F4 miracle. This is the first time she will be filming in China and say: "There's a bit of pressure, each episode costs around $200 000 and the two parties split the costs, they take the Chinese copyrights and I take the international copy rights. There are more and more collaborations between the 2 countries and I don't think it will be affected by political issues."
In regards to MG being prohibited in China, Angie smiles and says: "It was because of the prohibition that F4 have become so popular. I don't think it was prohibited just preferrable that it was not shown. There was a scene of fighting with a teacher and didn't look good but I think it's due to the different political and cultural environment and we have to respect that."
Angie also says: "Chinese television does not allow too much politics, homosexuality, pornography and violence. My serial is not political and it's just about love. There's only one scene where a national police officer is involved, but they are not a baddie."

This is Xishuangbanna which will be the major shooting place for City of Sky. Xishuangbanna In the southwest of China and at the southern most tip of Yunnan Province, there is a picturesque, fertile and mysterious land - Xishuangbanan. In the Dai language, "xishuang" is "twelve" and "banna" is "one thousand pieces of land", thus "Xishuangbanna" can be directly translated into "twelve thousand pieces of land" . As a matter of fact, it refers to the twelve regions that are under its administration. With Myanmar to the southwest and Laos to the southeast, Xishuangbanna has a boundary line of 1,069 kilometers. The capital of Xishuangbanna Prefecture is "Jinghong", which means "the City of Dawn" in the Dai language. There are more than ten nationalities including the Dais, the Hanis, the Jinuos and the Bulangs, etc in its land. There live over 5,000 species of plants and hundreds kinds of rare and valuable birds and animals in its 20,000 square kilometers tropical virgin forest, thus Xishuangbanna is noted as "the Kingdom of Plants and Animals" and "An Emerald on the Tropic of Cancer".

F4 and Unhappiness
When F4 are unhappy, are you feeling worse? Well...lately, the four have been in pretty good mood. But during the 2 years we have known them...there's been ups and downs.
Bad Health The guys are after all human, when they work non-stop for days, they will get tired and sick...when this happens, they will be unhappy, as they can not present their best. The four are very serious about their work...when we see them in a bad state, we don't feel any better...
Jerry: "Sometimes I hate myself, because my body just doesn't listen to my heart. It's true, sometimes I'm so tired, all my energy is used up but there's more performances to do. I have to keep going and I often stuff up, then I really hate myself for being so stupid."
During Fantasy Concert in Ning Bo: R: Just want to as Mr Vanness Wu, why he is hiding his face today. Vannrr...I'm shy. R: But you showed your complete face in Shanghai? Jiang Yi Peng: In regards to Vanness, it's probably because he is embarrassed of the blemishes on his face.
The reporter goes on...
R: If you thought that we value your abilities more than your looks, then these blemishes shouldn't matter should they?
Jerry: I think it's to do with manners. Ken: It's professionalism Jerry: We as artists want to show our best side to everyone. If we attended this press conference looking like we just got out of bed, then the media would say we are disrespectful...
This really makes the four guys unhappy...to the extent that Ken puts himself to self-torture. Apparently, Ken got his eighth piercing before going to the Wu Han concert, that's because he was unhappy, so he decided to get pierced.
During MG2, to get filming completed on time, Jerry was very sick. Even when he lost his voice, he still persisted. Vanness said that he almosted wanted to cry seeing the state that Jerry was in. Jerry couldn't attend the press conference because he was in hospital. When he heard that they were labelling him snobby for not attending, he had to clear up the incident...Jerry basically broke down.
Vanness is probably the most healthy of the four..but when he gets injured, does he get a fair treatment? " When Vanness arrived at the boxing arena to train, before it even started, Vanness got injured. When he came out of the arena, his fans were trying to get close to him, and his assistant couldn't stop it. Vanness' arm was scratched and he was completely shoved into a door. Fans were heartbroken, and yelled out "SORRY VANNESS" Vanness was very polite, he didn't get angry, he understood his fans and smiled adorably at them. But next time, please everyone, don't over react. protect those that you love!
This time, when Vanness and Ken were in Shanghai for the Music Awards, Vanness had a cold. He almost lost his voice but still insisted on performing. But then was said to be the worst performer of the night. He was so tired that he only stayed at the Qin Gong Yan for a little while and Ken had to hold the microphone for him. Again, F2 were said to be snobby!
When ZZ was releasing his album, his wisdom tooth was growing. During the concert at Gao Qiong, he had hand over his cheek. Fans said he was spitting out blood through the event. He had 2 autograph sessions and then had a concert. When Taozi asked him why his face was the color of yellow dirt. Then she found out that he didn't have any make up on, it's because he was so tired that his face was that colour naturally. ZZ replied to Taozi's question by saying: "There's too much work assigned."
R: Jerry Yan, you don't seem to be in a very good state today, what is the matter?
Jerry: There has been a big misunderstanding today. We didn't want to be late. If people remember I said that I hate people being late. I am very angry about this too but I think it's because things were organised properly beforehand. When we knew about this conference, we were all really happy, because we get a chance to say what we want to everyone. But then there was this sudden invitation, not giving us the chance to prepare ourselves. I'm not happy because I want to show the best side to everyone. But when misunderstandings like this happen, which began in Cheng Du - we filmed until very late, then everyone says we are late. In actual fact, we couldn't be late...there are so many reasons behind this and I don't want people to put the guilty sentence on us four. I feel that we have been very cooperative."

Taozi: To be honest, were you unhappy because you didn't eat? ZZ: But als because i was really tired. I was filming Ping Qiong, and wasn't getting along with the cast very well. I was under a lot of pressure. It was scheduled to finish filming at 12 ...but it didn't end until 12.30... Taozi: You guys still had photoshoot right? ZZ: Yeah... Taozi: You went from one place to another... ZZ: That's right. The traffic was bad too. Then there were roads that were temporarily blocked, so we had to wait again...I was really hungry. I fell asleep in the car and when I woke up, I was so tired. What was I doing? When I arrived, everyone was hurrying me, saying that the other 3 had been waiting for ages. They were hurrying throughough. Due to makeup I couldn't eat. Even though there were stuff to eat, they said to eat later. I had to do the photo shoot straight after makeup...so I didn't get a chance to eat...yeah...
JErry: I have very high self expectations. Maybe lots of people just aren't ready to accept an artist like me...I have a mind of my own, I have high self-expectations...they think of me as hard to get along with. If you don't understand me that's how you'll think but if you do, you will know that I just want to do my stuff right. Whether it be acting, doing XZJ or whatever, I just want to do my best.
Jerry: I'm a nerve wreck. Whatever I'm doing, I just want to do my best. Even though it might not be what others think as the best but just as long as I have done my best...that's all I can do. People don't see the other side of things...
Yong: Who described you as Stupid? Jerry: No...I just feel that I'm actually quite stupid. In a lot of things, I need people to teach me, to tell me...If you just tell me to pose nicely..I feel like a vase...that's not waht I want to be.
Jerry: I get nervous easily. I can only be early not late. I'm the type that gets up immediately when the alarm rings. When filming <>, I had a scene where I play the piano. I practiced and practice, until there will blisters on my hand. Lots of people want me to release an album...i really want to do that...but not until the time is right. They say that I'm so weird...maybe I am!
Question: You love making your life harder...are you happy? Jerry: Working with me is very tiring, especially in the last few weeks, during the XZJ period. I must appologise to the publishers.
Jerry: When you are not popular, no one writes about you. All you think about is where to work tomorrow. But now, I put alot of pressure on myself. I worry about lots of things, those that work with me get very tired...people at work call me "General".
Question: Why be so hot-tempered...aren't you afraid of hurting your friends? Jerry: I'm dumb. I can't do lots of things at once but I want to do them well. When I see others not put in their all...like I'm always on time, I wait for others one day, two days...after ten days...won't you be angry? Lately, for XZJ, there's arguments everyday...I even say that if the thing is not going to turn out right, I'd rather refund everyone their money. I don't care what others thing...I just want something of an international standard...it's hard but achievable.
Jerry's stylist: "He's someone that is very hard on himself. He's the type that would put 110% in everything he does. I'm really afraid of the day that he will film a "head smash glass" scene - he will really do it, smash his head against the glass...I think he will."
Jiao Zi: "Can't be lazy around him. When he cries, as far as I know, it's because he is blaming himself, for something he can't do."
Ken's co-worker at BBQ shop: "If I make the same mistake more than 3 times, Ken would get very angry. I remember last time I yelled out WELCOME too loud and scared the customers...boy, did I cop it from him! Ken's view on things are not the same as Jerry, even though they are both Capricorns. Ken's the pessimistic type.
"I'm a very two-sided person" This immediately indicates his inner dilemmas.
"I 'm way too realistic, yet I hate my realistic views." Ken says, "Sometimes I really don't like my realistic personality, yet sometimes I don't don't. The two voices inside my head tug at each other."
"In actual fact, I often think about multi-dimensiona questions. Everyday I would think about family, career, friends, what do to tomorrow, what to eat, what to wear...and much more. I would think about everything every day."
Ken : I'm a very weird person, it's hard to see my emotions and I talk in a straight forward manner. I often offend people, so I try to talk less. My friends think I'm very hot-tempered, hard to get along with. I'm rebellious...that's in my nature.

Vanness: Woman's World, Jan 2004 I got an email form one of the yahoo groups.... credits to: kenmania
Hi everyone,
Here's an article on Vanness that appeared in the Jan 2004 issue of Woman's World magazine here in Singapore.
He was interviewed during the time when he was promoting Star Runner here, and I guess this is being printed only now, 'cos he will be coming back to Singapore soon to host the MTV Asia Awards 2004 with Michelle Branch.
BTW, guess who was on the cover of this same magazine?? Vivian Hsu... LOL! ;p But hey, that's only because she came to Singapore to promote her album right after Vanness left Singapore to promote Star Runner in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Still, I can't help but point that out... haha! ;p
So anyways, here's that article.....
REDISCOVERING VANNESS There is life after F4 and Meteor Garden after all. Wayne Chen checks out all the new Vanness Wu. Watch out, world!
It seemed he was on a decline since the release of Meteor Garden II in 2002. But in that same year, Vanness Wu released his first solo album, Body Will Sing and now his debut movie, Star Runner.
A NEW LOOK
Despite extensive media coverage of the 25-year-old without his shoulder-length locks, it took awhile for me to get used to it. It seems to be a change for the better, nevertheless. Vanness agrees it was high time for a change and likens it to a big breath of fresh air. He goes on to dismiss the entire topic jokingly, saying, "Get over it. My hair id just gonna fall out soon."
In accordance with his silver screen character in the action romance Star Runner, (he stars as a rebellious boxer named Bond), the new Vanness is a lean, mean fighting machine.
To him, the blood and sweat he put into training for his character was inconsequential. "I have loved action movies since young and it was really all about putting in 100 percent effort in learning a new thing," he says. Throughout the course of filming, he lost about 4.5 kg.
BEING TYPECAST
"I'm not a pretty boy!" exclaims an indignant Vanness when the comment popped up in the course of the interview. This singular outburst serves to drive home the point that he takes his craft seriously, and you should too. Thank you very much.
Truth be told, it is really quite hard to imagine him not being a pretty boy. His millions of adoring fans would agree, but the man himself is unimpressed and resents this stereotyping of him.
He is also typecast as a stellar dancer and admits dancing is his forte, but at the same time, he has set his sights far and high for his acting career. According to him, his preference lies in being seen as a universal actor who is highly versatile and hopes to play more unconventional roles, such as a "psychotic killer, or a drug abuser".
One thing is certain. Vanness wants to break out of the stereotypical shell. And he wants you to believe it.
BUSY BOY
Just a month after the movie was completed, he headed home to Los Angeles to begin work on his second solo record.
"The demos are all done. It's going to be very different - a 180-degree turn from the first one," says the budding international singer. The album will be released next year.
(Jeanette says... that means in 2004, since this interview took place in Nov 2003, you guys... LOL!).
On the movie front, Daniel Lee, the director of Star Runner had already hinted to Vanness that he has thought of a sequel even before filming for the first movie ended.
Keeping his options open seems to be his current strategy. His busy music and movie-filming schedules have also caused him to neglect his TV career.
So much so that producer Angie Chai and director Tsai Yueh-hsun behind the popular Meteor Garden are having difficulties simply catching hold of Vanness to discuss a new serial starring F4.
Wasting no time, the pretty boy, oops, I mean macho man, looks set to blaze more trails in the new year and we look forward to more breakthroughs in his development as an artiste.
THE END.
Then, there's a little box in one corner of the 2nd page which says...
ABOUT VANNESS...

THE END.

400 fans uses body to stop car
400 fans coming from 5 countries, Singapore,Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Phillipines crazily went to the airport to recieve Zaizai and used their bodies to stop the car.
F4 member, Vic Zhou, yesterday arrived in Singapore early to do promo for his new album, Remember I Love You.
Being not touching in Singapore for 2 years, the warmth that fans give did not decrease and was just like when he came the last time.
From what was known, there was not only Singapore and Malaysia fans at the airport yesterday. There were also fans from Thailand, Indonesia and Phillipines.
Overseas Fans, As Crazy Too
Although these fans were in smaller numbers, their level of craziness did not lose out to local fans.
All these fans from Thailand, Phillipines and Indonesia not only jump through the barricadges, they even used their bodies to stop the car from going off.
OnlyF4 's fan, Cai Yi Fang (joey91) (quality assurance officer) said, "Although fans from Singapore are crazy, these fans from Thailand, Indonesia and Phillipines are even more scary.!"
In order to get near to Zaizai, all of them risk their lives and jumped into the barricadges. While some others tried to use their bodies to stop the car from going after Zaizai mounted the car. Luckily the car have not started.
She mentioned that although local fans are crazy, when there are police maintaining order, they would not go overboard. It was all these overseas fans who were very brave.
Mom caused his bad pronouncation
Recently, lots of people have been praising Zaizai that he got better in talking, and have stop making mistakes in his Chinese pronouncation. Never would we know Zaizai would turn the light on his mother, "It's all my mother's fault."
Zaizai explained, "My pronouncation improve maybe because i have started living in Taipei for a longer time, thus my pronouncation have become clearer. There was once when i went home, and listen to my mom speaking, and realised it was all my mom's fault! I was still blaming myself last time. However, i listened to my mother speaking from young, thus i have become like that after listening to her for long.
Going 3 ways to support Zaizai
Zaizai's fans was very coporative in order to support him.
Fanclub OnlyF4 's fan, Cai Yi Fang(joey91) told us that fans who were at the airport to recieve Zaizai was actually a small portion of fans.
She said, " That's because Zaizai changed his flight during the last minute. He was actually supposed to take a BR flight at Terminal 1 but was changed to a SQ flight at Terminal 2.
Some fans told their cabs to go rounds outside the airport. Some thought it was too difficult to chase, thus made their way straight to his hotel or Autograph Session Set, Junction 8.
Cai Yi Fang (joey91) said, " We spilt ourselves into 3 groups, some to recieve Zaizai at the airport, some waiting at his hotel while some are queuing at Junction 8."
Van surronded with curtains
Zaizai's car was surronded with curtains while fans worried for his safety.
Miss Cai said that the car that Zaizai sat was surronded with curtains on both left , right and back. Other than the little glass window at the driver's seat, even the front was covered up.
Zaizai admites, "Envys Jerry Yan & Jealous of Vanness Wu
Legs were shorter than Jerry's, thousand fans star, Vic Zhou said, idol, Sammi was "taken" by Jerry first, and he envys! He is also jealous with Vanness for dropping his hair for Star Runner. He says he has got to cut off all his hair to compare the shortness with Vanness !
When Zaizai came to Singapore do his promo for Remember I Love U , it was obvious that Zaizai have grown slimmer. At the press conference, his record company prepared a cake for him. It was to help celebrate the 50 million sales throughout Asia and also to allow Zaizai to draw the "2" on his own cake for the local sales digit to be aunnoced to the media first.
Talking about album, Zaizai is first in leading in the other F3. However, in the movie section, Jerry, Ken and Vanness were the ones who offered their virgin movies first, while Zaizai lose out a little. Regarding this, he was not at all afraid and even said, " This can be slower.."
However, when mentioning about Jerry and Sammi, Zaizai answered with envy, "Jerry worked with Sammi, and i would love to too ! I would be looking for oppournitys!"
Zaizai said fliming a movie would never allow him to pick a opposite partner. But, if he were to choose, he would choose Sammi Cheng, " I like her alot, i think it's innocent? haha.."
He continued to say, " I love her shows and listen to her songs. Whenever i go KTV with crew workers, i would dedicate her songs to sing" Then, he started to help do advertisments for his idols by mentioning about some songs that he liked.
After finishing his envy for Jerry, he said he was jealous of Vanness for dropping his long hair for Star Runner. He said, " I really envy his short hair. If there is a need, i would cut off everything just like WahZai(Andy Lau), and compare the shortness with Vanness !"
Zaizai commented that the company have been discussing about his movie works and the best role that he wants is to be a Ren Ge Fen Lie character. " It's best if it is a little crazy, not allowing others to catch it, then it'll be more challenging."
He would also be fliming the drama Mars , edited from the manga soon. It's rumoured that he's paid 1 million for each episode and this caused other F4's jealousy, saying Cai Zhi Ping to be biased.
