English: Thank you. Chinese : Xie4xie. English: Goodbye! Chinese: Zai4jian4! Vocabulary Build-up: ni3 - you (informal) (nin2 - formal of you) hao3 - fine, good, well ma - question particle ye3 - also, too hen3 - very ni3 ne5 - how about you? xie4xie5 - thank you zai4jian4 - goodbye, bye Note: Don't forget to pronounce it with the right tones.

Note: This characters are all in simplified forms. Traditonal characters were no longer in use in china. Follow the strokes accordingly as this is the right way in learning to write the chinese characters (hanzi). Try to follow the simple steps of each characters in the picture and convert the conversations in chinese writing. Tips: Write the chinese characters several times (one character per day) for easy memorization. Guess what? That's what I did and it worked!!!

What is your name? Ni jiao shenme mingzi? mingzi i am sorry, i couldn't find the characters for "mingz." can we enable chinese characters in this website. it would be better and much easier for me. thanks! ni3 - you (informal) jiao4 - called, to be called shen2me5 - what ming2zi4 - name
