Reporter: What kind of personality is Ah Bang (Vann's role in Star Runner)?
Vann: At the beginning, he's full of confidence, is a good boxer, but a little childish.
Reporter: How is Ah Bang different from Andy Lau's Ah Hu?
Vann: Ah Hu is mainly abt Thai boxing. Star Runner is more of kung-fu. A similarity between the 2 is that the both characters would go all out to achieve their goals.
Reporter: Heard u told the director "u have prepared to suffer". Why?
Vann: I didn't know kung-fu, i had to learn from the basics.
Reporter: You had to cut yr long hair for the movie, don't u feel it's a pity?
Vann: Actually, i had long wanted to cut off my long hair. When i was filming MG2, the director refused to let me cut. This time, the director of Star Runner asked if i was willing to cut my hair, i pulled him aside & told him secretly, "don't ask, juz go ahead & cut it HK". Because i think it's not suitable for a boxer to have long hair.
Reporter: Did u feel any pressure filming yr 1st movie?
Vann: No, i never thought of proving anything. As long as i did my best... During filming, i'll listen to other people's suggestions & change. I'll not pressurize myself.
Reporter: Do u feel u matured a lot eversince u entered showbiz?
Vann: I don't know, perhaps i have not matured at all. I have not thought abt this question. There's always room for improvement, i'll try to improve & not think too much.
Reporter: Acting as a boxer, do u have have confidence in yr body?
Vann: should be okay... When i 1st came to HK, the director said i was little fat. Because i ate a lot when i was in US. When i go to the gym, i'll tell myself i wanna train up my muscles. Therefore, i was on diet for 1/2 a month in HK, ate only vegetables. In addition, due to the tough filming, i slimmed down after 3 days.
Reporter: Heard that the filming conditions was rather bad, are u prepared to throw away yr idol image?
Vann: I don't like the term idol, Juz like for F4's 1st concert, other people were thinking how was it possible? In the end, it worked out well, so we are slowly trying to abandon being labelled an idol.
Reporter: It's not bad being an idol rite?
Vann: Coz people's concept of idols are that they must be handsome, clean clothes... We are ordinary people too, we have our own lives.
Reporter: How did u felt when F4 shot to fame?
Vann: Very sudden, i didn't felt that i was great. Thankful for everyone's compliments but i'll not think too much. This is only the beginning of my career.
Reporter: Were u worried of yr future?
Vann: I'll not think of it, I'm doing wat i like at the moment & i treasure every opportunity.
Reporter: Do u think it's inevitable for F4 to disband & go solo?
Vann: We didn't state F4 have to be together in the 1st place. We'll be doing our own things in the future but we may still get back & work together when there's opportunities.
Reporter: What's yr distinguish feature in the F4?
Vann: Mischievous, loves to move ard, full of expressions. I like to dance eversince i was young.
Reporter: Do u still see yrself as a member of F4 or have u become an independant solo artise?
Vann: When i'm with them, i feel that we are F4. But when i'm alone, i'm me, the crazy Vanness.
Reporter: Do u think the success of F4 is a fairy tale?
Vann: It's a opportunity at the right time & place. It juz happened that Asia have not seen dramas adapted from comics at that time. And this new group was a fresh & creative idea. Of coz, i am thankful to my company for giving me the chance. I feel that God is looking after me.
Reporter: The ratings of MG2 was not as good as the 1st. wat do u think is the reason?
Vann: The storyline of the 1st part was better, the 2nd lacks in certain areas. Juz like when i'm filming Star Runner, the feeling of entire crew was great, it was the same when we were filming MG. But for MG2, the director was changed & we were each busy with our own career. It was a kinda messy, different from MG1.
